One Wish

By Melissa Cox

If I could have one wish one dream that would come true I'd pray to god with all my heart for yesterday and you. One million words won't bring you back, I know because I tried, And neither would one million tears, I know because I cried. You left behind a broken heart with happy memories too. But I never wanted the memories I only want YOU!!!!

A Life Cut Short

By Erik Rhein

As I stood there staring at the number 4, I realized my closest of kin lay just beneath the soil. I hope and pray it's all just a dream, and I could see this person once more. I know this tragedy left our family in such turmoil. I awoke that morning, free from the sleeping potion. My family was stirring, fear struck their eyes as I proceeded. They threw the news at me with tears that could fill an ocean. In a whirlwind of emotion, to my nest I speeded. The endless hours have passed, we've left the house of the lord, to the land of the lost, is where the vehicle of peace was headed. It's all happened too quick, she was easily taken, as easy as the pluck of a chord. This day, which I'd carry the home of the deceased, I surely dreaded. I kissed the coffin, said my prayers and left without a peep. I glanced back, as they lower my cousin Tori to her eternal sleep

Remembering the Pain

By Richelle Bollinger

It hurts to remember, But I'll never forget. Smiles all around, that very first day Seems impossible, you'd be taken away Time not shared, simply wasted All your life left untasted. It hurts to remember, But I'll never forget. His decisions were wrong, Because of it, we all must be strong. He chose to drink and drive, If he hadn't you'd still be alive. It hurts to remember, But I'll never forget. I was lost when you died, Now you guide, From heaven where the angels reside.

One Day

By Samantha Jackson

One day I will see you,and feel your warm embrace. One day I will see your smile that glows upon your face. One day we will be together, and share the good times too.One day you will hear him say "babe,I love you too."One day we can smile, and laugh at things from times past. One day we will reunite and know the days will last. But one day hasn't come for me,and one day is taking too long. But I want you to know this Tori, you never did anything wrong

Opportunities

By Emily Guerra

When we're first born we don't have a care in the world. As we get older we take life for granted. Never thinking what if tonight's the night I die. Always thinking we are immortal. But when we finally die it hits us we are not immortal. But by then it's to late we're gone. And then we think if only I had done something different in life. And those who realize we might die at an early age take the opportunities that are given to us. And those who do not realize they will not live forever do not take the opportunities given to them and keep on using drugs, drinking, or hurting themselves. But those who take the opportunities given to them will die knowing they lived their life as ful as they could
